2024 Olympic soccer odds: France favored; Morocco or Egypt to win first medal

[ad_1]

Coming off gold medals in both the 2016 Olympics in Rio and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, there will be no three-peat for Brazil, as it failed to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Instead, France sits at the top of the board as the favorite at -105. Those odds have shortened from +230 since the Games began and from +170 since defeating the USMNT on the first Wednesday of the Olympics.

Team USA was eliminated from the tournament after a 4-0 quarterfinal loss to Morocco on Friday.

Let’s check out the latest gold medal odds for men’s soccer at DraftKings Sportsbook.

MEN’S OLYMPIC SOCCER GOLD MEDAL: *

France: -105 (bet $10 to win $19.52 total)
Spain: +225 (bet $10 to win $32.50 total)
Morocco: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Egypt: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total)

* odds as of 8/4/24

Each team’s 18-player roster is restricted to players under the age of 23, with an exception for three players who can be older.

A bit of history will be made at this year’s Olympics. Two of the final four teams — Morocco and Egypt — have never won a medal in men’s soccer, and France has not medaled since 1984, when it won the gold in Los Angeles.

Team USA has not medaled since 1904, a streak that will continue on.
