Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney looked stunning in a plunging olive green gown at a private event for the Clooney Foundation for Justice in Lake Como, Italy recently.
Amal, 47, was pictured on Instagram wearing a gorgeous olive-green wrap dress with a plunging neckline. The mother-of-two wore her long hair in loose curls and accessorised with a pair of long gold drop earrings for added elegance. She was seen with her husband, George Clooney, 64, who looked dapper in a relaxed-fit striped button-up shirt and a tailored grey suit.
Clooney Foundation for Justice is a joint nonprofit by the power couple. The occasion was a prelude to the foundation’s yearly Albies awards presentation, which is scheduled for Sept 26. The event, which took place at the couple’s Lake Como villa, included gorgeous table setting for guests as well as lounge chairs with breathtaking lake views.
In 2016, Amal and her Hollywood-heartthrob husband, established the Clooney Foundation for Justice to support victims of human rights abuses. “I am a barrister and the founder along with my husband George of the Clooney Foundation for Justice,” the human rights attorney said in the video, referring to the foundation. “Our foundation provides free legal support to victims of atrocities all over the world,” she added.
“We founded the Clooney Foundation for Justice because we believe in a world where human rights are protected and no one is above the law,” Amal and George said in a joint statement on their website.
The CFJ continues to support survivors of war crimes and work on issues that have long been out of the news. The foundation is aggressively investigating war crimes in Ukraine, keeping an eye on sham trials that target journalists and women, and fighting the global trend towards authoritarianism that aims to punish anyone who speak truth.
Amal debuted her new hair colour at the Venice Film Festival on Aug 28, which is ideal for this fall. By adding subtly contrasting caramel and honey-toned highlights, the shade, which her hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos dubbed “pecan pie hair,” adds warmth and delicate brightness to even the darkest of brown strands.
The human rights lawyer debuted this look, a combination of chocolate and honey hues because of her love for classic styling. Her signature bouncy curls cascaded over her shoulders, showcasing the highlights to their fullest.
Amal and George’s Lake Como villa
George purchased their Lake Como home and has previously expressed his love for his stay there as well as his passion for Italian culture. The actor’s presence has undoubtedly contributed to the villa’s tremendous value over the years, but George’s astute real estate manoeuvre has increased the home’s value tenfold.
The couple’s home in Provence
Amal and George, who are now parents to twins, Ella and Alexander, have a deep affection for Italy and their home in Como, but they also spend a lot of time in Provence, France, where they bought a lavish chateau in 2021. The couple bought Domaine Le Canadel for a whopping $8.3 million. Not to mention the 25-acre vineyard, there are full-size lawns, a tennis court, a lake, an olive grove, and a full-size pool.
