Three Premier League clubs are vying for Brighton’s João Pedro as Dean Huijsen is all set to join Real Madrid.
According to the Daily Telegraph, João Pedro of Brighton is attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. This summer, all three Premier League clubs are looking to increase their attacking options, and they may settle for the Brazilian striker to help them score goals.
Pedro, 23, has become one of the top young forwards in Europe after scoring 30 goals in 70 games since joining Brighton. Liam Delap and Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig are also being watched by Chelsea.
Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano posted on X that Real Madrid and Bournemouth have reached a “club-to-club” deal for Dean Huijsen. Real Madrid seems to have won the race to sign the centre-back, who has been strongly linked to several Premier League teams in recent months.
Bournemouth has finally accepted the terms of Los Blancos for the proposed transfer, and by the end of 2026, they will get Huijsen’s £50 million ($66 million) release clause. Romano claimed to move forward and complete the deal for the player one last approval is required.
According to Matteo Moretto, many clubs have made inquiries about Chelsea forward, Nicolas Jackson. The club has not ruled out a move this summer and could approve Jackson’s departure if a good offer is made. After joining Stamford Bridge from Villarreal in 2023, the Senegal international has scored 24 goals in 65 Premier League games thus far. His contract with Chelsea expires in June 2033.
TeamTalk reported that AC Milan and Internazionale have joined the competition to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta, 27 of Crystal Palace. After another strong season at Selhurst Park, teams like Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid are already interested in the forward. Mateta reportedly may soon be offered about €35 million ($46 million). Important information regarding forward’s availability this summer has been obtained by both Milan clubs.
Man United is interested in Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo, 20, according to Football Insider. Any potential deal may be complicated by his recent signing of a new contract with Fiorentina that runs through 2028. Additionally, Comuzzo, who has had a breakthrough Serie A season, is being watched by Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.
Man United v Chelsea
Meanwhile, Man United will play Chelsea on Friday with a chance at redemption and the Europa League final on the horizon.
Ruben Amorim may decide to rest some of his key players. They lost to West Ham 2-0 at home last weekend, continuing their dismal league play. United is now in 16th in the Premier League table after losing their last seven games.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will be looking to bolster their case for a Champions League berth the following season.
Chelsea had won four and drew two of the six Premier League games prior to Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle United, giving the impression that they had found their form at the ideal moment. They are the favourites to win all three points at Stamford Bridge on Friday because of Cole Palmer’s seeming comeback and Enzo Fernández’s new-found attacking threat.
