Kate Middleton looks ravishing in royal blue dress for Wimbledon men’s singles final 

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales stunned in a royal blue dress for the Wimbledon men’s singles final between Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Italy’s Jannik Sinner at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Sunday. She was joined by her husband Prince William, the Prince of Wales, their two older children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.  

The British royals met with the men’s doubles winners, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool as they arrived to watch the match ahead of time.  

Kate, 43, who is also the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club ditched the Wimbledon white for a royal blue V-neck dress with a bow on the shoulder. The mother-of-three accessorised her ankle-length outfit with a wide-brimmed, black ribbon-trimmed, straw-style sun hat from L.K. Bennett

The princess rewore her Celia Calfskin Pumps from the Ralph Lauren Collection. She added dash of sparkle to the look with Daniella Draper’s Gold 8 Diamond Luxury Forever Trace Chain Necklace and Cartier’s 18K Pink Yellow White Gold Classic Trinity Hoop Earrings. 

William, 43, matched her outfit and looked dapper in white chinos and shirt combo along with a blue double-breasted blazer and navy-blue tie and pocket square. George, 11, opted for a dark blazer and trouser combo with a light blue shirt and navy tie. Charlotte, 10, wore a sleeveless beige summer dress with a black trim and matching pumps. 

The family took their seat in the front row of the Royal Box on Centre Court. This is the first time they watched a match in Wimbledon this year as a family.   

Kate, William, George and Charlotte were pictured greeting and speaking to King Felipe VI of Spain, who was there to support Alcaraz.  

The Princess of Wales presented the trophy to Sinner, 23, after he beat two-time defending champion Alcaraz, 22, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday. This is Sinner’s first Grand Slam on grass court.  

After undergoing cancer treatment, Kate has been gradually returning to public duties, and she attended Wimbledon for the second day in a row. 

Hollywood celebrities and many Wimbledon champions joined the British royals on Sunday for the men’s singles final. Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, was in the Royal Box along with actors Keira Knightley, Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman, and John Lithgow. 

On Saturday, Kate stepped out for a solo appearance at the Wimbledon women’s singles final between Poland’s Iga Swiatek, 24, and Amanda Anisimova, 23, from the US. The former beat the latter 6-0, 6-0 and wo her first grass court title.  

In honour of her Wimbledon patronage, Kate wore a bespoke cream-coloured Self-Portrait dress, paired with a green and purple Wimbledon pin. The dress featured a mandarin collar, belted waist and pleated skirt.  

This is the first time she wore her heirloom engagement ring atop the three other rings on her ring finger. In addition to her wedding band, her first eternity ring from William following George’s birth, and her new sapphire and diamond eternity ring by Cartier, Kate added the sapphire and diamond ring, which the Antique Jewellery Company estimates is worth up to £400,000. 

The princess matched her outfit with Gianvito Rossi’s ‘Ribbon Sling 85’ nude suede pumps and Anya Hindmarch’s new royal accessory, the ‘Neeson Small Square Tote in Chalk Capra Leather’.  

Kate also wore the Ralph Lauren ‘Ralph RA5305’ sunglasses along with many other pieces of jewellery, including a gold bangle by Halcyon Days, the Cartier ‘Ballon Bleu de Cartier’ watch, and the Cartier ‘Trinity’ hoop earrings. 

In 2016, Kate succeeded Queen Elizabeth as the royal patron of the All England Club. She is now a regular in the Wimbledon matches, and since 2019, she has presented the men’s champion and runner-up their trophies. She has missed a single year with the exception being in 2020, when Wimbledon was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite her cancer treatment, she made her only appearance of the year at the Wimbledon men’s final last year.
