Prince William and Kate Middleton to celebrate 14th wedding anniversary working in Scotland where they first met

Prince William and Kate Middleton will celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary on Tuesday working. The royal couple will be on an official visit to Scotland on their anniversary. This visit happens to be Kate’s first overnight official visit after her cancer diagnosis in 2024.

Kate, 43, and William, 42, met at the University of St. Andrews in 2005 where they pursued Art History and dated on and off for four years.

The Waleses also known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland are scheduled to visit the Isles of Mull and Iona on their two-day official engagement.

William and Kate will begin the day in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull on Tuesday as part of their visit, to honour rural villages as well as the farming and artisan communities.

With its vibrantly painted harbour cottages, the coastal village served as the backdrop for the well-known British children’s television show “Balamory”. The couple plans to explore the producer’s market, where they will taste regional cuisine and interact with some of the artisans, as well as a town hall that serves as a community centre.

On Mull, which has a population of roughly 3,000 and a renowned history of farming, fishing, and tourism, they will also use their visit to launch a collaboration between their Royal Foundation and the local community to fund two community spaces.

William and Kate are due to visit a croft or local farm on the island’s west side to discover more about their hospitality and sustainable farming practices. In addition to seeing some of the Hebridean sheep and helping select some of the locally grown veggies, the couple will visit the croft building and restaurant at the centre of the 50-acre farm, which serves meals made from locally grown vegetables.

The couple are scheduled to spend time with the rangers from Mull and Iona Ranger Service’s on the second day of their visit. William and Kate will go to the Atlantic rainforest to participate in some outdoor activities with a group of local schoolchildren. It is known as one of Scotland’s most valuable natural habitats.

In keeping with Kate’s efforts to support children aged 0 to 5, their families and caregivers, the royal parents will later participate in an activity with Ardura Acorns, one of the island’s only early-years outdoor learning play groups.

William and Kate have reportedly opted to spend their low-key anniversary evening in a self-catered vacation cottage on Mull, which is surrounded by nothing but nature and rural communities and the stunning Inner Hebrides landscape.
