Geneva, Switzerland: The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) announces SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA), a leading global environmental and management consulting firm, as its latest member.
By becoming a WBCSD member, SWCA gains access to additional avenues to impact global strategies and technical challenges. Through this membership, SWCA now finds itself more than ever in a position to support the world’s leading companies as they grapple with business sustainability issues, including reducing emissions, restoring nature, improving water security, enabling circularity, and elevating diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Joseph J. Fluder, III, President and CEO of SWCA, highlighted the importance of this membership.
Our greatest opportunity to make positive contributions to the environment and society is through the solutions that we’ve been providing clients for over 40 years. Joining WBCSD allows us to gain an even better understanding of the challenges that the world’s leading companies face when it comes to business sustainability and offers us opportunities to share our expertise and continue to make positive, lasting, and meaningful impact.
Peter Bakker, President and CEO of WBCSD, spoke about his enthusiasm for SWCA’s membership, saying:
We are thrilled to welcome SWCA as WBCSD’s newest member. The work they undertake to help clients overcome environmental challenges and move their projects forward aligns with WBCSD’s mission to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. Together, we can drive positive change and create a better world, one in which 9+ billion can live well, within planetary boundaries, by mid-century.
